The designing dou Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai behind the label Vena Cava have designed a lower priced diffusion line for Bloomingdale’s own brand Aqua. Lisa and Sophie have been CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award nominees twice. Both were born in LA and they have collaborated with brands such as Gap and Converse in the past.
Now they have created a limited edition 19 piece collection which will be sold both at Bloomingdale’s stores and online at Bloomingdales.com. The pieces retail for about $98.00 to $198.00. They include pleated shorts, fun and flirty skits, chiffon tops and many cute short tribal and monochromatic dresses.
“Partnering with Bloomingdale’s and Aqua is special to us because it marks our first department store collaboration,” say Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, Vena Cava’s designers. “This collaboration gives us the opportunity to expose a different side of our brand to a new audience by incorporating Aqua’s playful nature, while still keeping our designs niche and tasteful.”
