The 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) were held at The Shrine Auditorium on January 27, 2013 in Los Angeles, California. The big trend of the evening were gowns in black and in blue, the dominant color choice on the red carpet. The hair on many of the nominated actresses was old hollywood style glam with waves parted to the side.
It was difficult to narrow down the favorites for Best Dressed as there were many actresses who really stood out and were spot on with the current trends in couture but at last I must choose. These actresses in my opinion not only won an SAG nod from their fellow peers but also won my style eye for Best Dressed on the red carpet.
(Left to Right) Let’s start with the hottest actress in Hollywood right now. Jennifer Lawrence, 22, who won the Actor statue for Best Female Actor in a Film for Silver Linings Playbook chose a Christian Dior Haute Couture gown in a dark navy blue, and polished it off with a Chopard diamond necklace. Nina Dobrev, the 24-year-old Vampire Diaries actress, wore an Elie Saab gown, Judith Lieber clutch, Jimmy Choo shoes and Neil Lane jewels. Sofia Vergara stunned in a Donna Karan Atelier white lamé gown, Charlotte Olympia white platform heels and a Jimmy Choo bag. The Modern Family actress also donned a million dollars worth of Neil Lane jewels.
(Left to Right) Jane Krakowski wore a peach tangerine colored Kaufman Franco gown with a tonal skinny belt, David Webb jewelry, Casadei shoes, and carried a Judith Leiber clutch. Naomi Watts, The Impossible’s leading lady, looked amazing in a Marchesa gown and Faberge earrings. Jessica Chastain, The Zero Dark Thirty nominee, dazzled in an Alexander McQueen red strapless gown and Harry Winston’s splash diamond necklace set in platinum.
