Kate Young—one of the industry’s most influential stylists—will introduce a limited-edition collection of women’s apparel and accessories, available exclusively at Target starting April 14.
You might know Kate from seeing her work dazzle on the red carpet. She’s known for dressing the likes of Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz in other people’s designs, and now her name will be on the label: Kate Young for Target.
This may be Kate’s first time designing a collection, but she’s no stranger to fashion having begun her career at the place where many can only dream about—Vogue.
After spending time assisting Anna Wintour and styling the first cover of Teen Vogue, Kate quickly became one of the most sought-after stylists and an industry icon. She’s consulted for top brands and styled runway shows for designers such as Derek Lam, Nina Ricci, Peter Som, Yigal Azrouël and, of course, Target. Most recently, Kate styled the elegant Jason Wu for Target campaign.
And just last year, Kate topped The Hollywood Reporter’s list of 25 most powerful stylists, recognizing her ingenuity, expertise and masterful mix of high-low fashion.
Known for crafting standout red carpet moments, she brings the same edgy, yet sophisticated sense of style to her collection of special occasion dresses, standalone separates (like bodysuits, blazers and satin shorts), shoes, bags and accessories.
“For years, Kate Young has been helping her celebrity clients stand out on the red carpet,” says Trish Adams, senior vice president, Apparel & Accessories, Target. “This collection perfectly translates Kate’s edgy, yet sophisticated sense of style.”
Available at all Target stores and Target.com April 14, the collection of special-occasion dresses, as well as standalone separates and accessories, ranges in price from $29.99 to $89.99 for apparel and $14.99 to $49.99 for jewelry, handbags and shoes.
