Sneak Peek: Phillip Lim for Target complete look book has arrived

In a post I wrote on May 9, 2013 I announced that the next designer to create a capsule collection for mass retailer Target would be Phillip Lim.  Now Target has released the entire look book following an event in NYC where the PR Mavens and top editors were invited to a sneak preview of the entire collection.  The group consensus appears positive with a buzz for the handbags and accessories being the talk of the town.

The exclusive fall collection will feature women’s and men’s apparel and accessories, including shoes, bags and travel accessories.

Since introducing 3.1 Phillip Lim in 2005 with friend and fabric supplier Wen Zhou, Lim has continuously challenged the contemporary market with cutting-edge sophistication and quality. He was honored by the Council of Fashion Designers of America with the Emerging Talent Award for Ready-to-Wear, accepting Womenswear in 2007 and Menswear in 2012. 3.1 Phillip Lim also received the CFDA award for 2013 Accessory Designer of the Year.

One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire – one that is cool and chic, but still very accessible” says Phillip.

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target is a sophisticated and elevated collection that is both beautiful and functional. Rooted in a classic fall palette of neutral tones and prints, the collection features a variety of versatile, affordable pieces that modern women and men can wear on-the-go, while remaining effortlessly chic.
