The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre L.A.on September 23, 2013 in Los Angeles, California. This is the Sunday night when your favorite television personalities sparkle and shine both on the red carpet and on the stage, the night when fashion designers and celebrity stylists scramble to dress their most loyal celebrity fans.
As always there are some stand out trends seen on the red carpet. This year the colors most prominently seen on the nominated actresses and presenters were cobalt blue and wine colors. There were also champagne and blush gowns as seen below trending on the red carpet.
Let’s look at the gowns and break down Who Wore What for their red carpet moment at the 2013 Emmy Awards.
From Left to Right: TV Personality and Host of Project Runway Heidi Klum made her entrance with Tim Gunn wearing a pomegranate sequin gown from the House of Versace. Rose Byrne chose a 2 piece custom Calvin Klein petal-pink crepe sleeveless wrap halter top and streamline skirt. The Boardwalk Empire Star added a silver Jimmy Choo small clutch, Charlotte Olympia shoes and Tiffany & Co. jewels. Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara went with her favorite look, a plunging neckline mermaid silhouette red gown from Vera Wang. She accessorized the look with jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz. Kaley Couco made a big bang with her strapless oxblood tulle gown by Vera Wang.
From Left to Right: Scandal Actress Kerry Washington went with a floral Marchesa gown, Christian Louboutin shoes, Edie Parker clutch, a Movado watch, and Fred Leighton jewelry. January Jones went strapless in a mauve colored lace gown by Givenchy and shoes also by Givenchy with Cartier earrings. Modern Family star Julie Bowen arrived in a Zac Posen gown with a mermaid silhouette of cascading ruffles. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who took home the gold for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Veep, shined in a Monique Lhuillier Resort 2014 column gown with Martin Katz earrings and ring from Lorraine Schwartz jewelers.
From Left to Right: Tina Fey gave us cobalt blue in a plunging neckline gown from Narciso Rodriguez and jewelry by Fred Leighton. Girls star Allison Williams looked stunning in a simple strapless custom gown by Ralph Lauren. She accessorized with Roger Vivier pumps and Fred Leighton jewels. Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba wore a blue strapless gown with a lace bodice by Rani Zakhem. Edie Falco, who gave a lovely tribute to honor the passing of the late James Gandolfini, gave up her Nurse Jackie scrubs and walked the red carpet in a blue slit gown by Escada.
