Million Dollar Shoppers set to air on Lifetime TV

In case you have not had your fill of fashion reality TV shows Lifetime TV is set to air Million Dollar Shoppers on Thursday, Oct 10 at 10:30 pm ET immediately following Project Runway.

Providing a revealing look into the exclusive world of the affluent, each episode of Million Dollar Shoppers will feature three personal shoppers who make their living on the hunt for the most coveted fashion splurges for their wealthy clients. With their pride, reputation and, ultimately, final commission on the line, the shoppers take close inventory of their clients’ jaw-dropping closets and homes before consulting with them about their fashion needs, ranging from a specific event, upcoming vacation or an entire wardrobe makeover. Empowered with the customers’ credit cards in hand, they execute their savvy, retail sense and fashion connections to purchase what they believe fulfills their tough clients’ vision of having the finest luxuries available…first. Will they complete their missions? That will remain to be seen until the clients meticulously review all purchases before approving each and every expense. Each week, viewers will follow the colorful, driven shoppers to see who rakes in the most commission and the ultimate bragging rights.

The show will air six episodes in total. In the premiere episode of Million Dollar Shoppers, the shoppers are faced with the mother of all challenges – mothers and daughters! When fashionista Stacey hires Barbet to find her an outfit for her daughter’s bat-mitzvah, twelve-year-old Samantha gets to decide what mom wears. Meanwhile, Amy is shopping for Hope and her daughter, Grace – two New Jersey ladies whose style is all about sparkle. Dynamic duo Gregg and Tayler are working for Heather and her teenage daughter Madelyn, but shopping quickly turns into family drama.

The Personal Shoppers include Amy Salinger who calls herself “The Garment Whisperer” because she has a 90% purchase rate on the clothes she chooses for her clients. Barbet Smith, hockey mom of four and a personal shopper. Raised in Westchester County, New York, Smith, has impeccable taste but is unaffected by the exorbitant wealth of her clients. Derek Roche who landed his first styling internship for “Sex and the City” stylist Patricia Field while he was still in college. He went on to work at Vibe magazine, Ralph Lauren and Condé Nast. The last styling duo is Gregg Asher and Tayler Carson Sandvick. Gregg and Tayler met at the Christian Dior grand opening party. The two instantly clicked and, together, use their fierce fashion sense and outgoing personalities to take the fashion scene by storm for clients who live in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas.

With comments such as “Helen Keller could have picked a better gown,” as said by one client’s friend when reviewing the personal shopper’s selections there is bound to be lots of drama. After all… This is fashion!!
