Japanese-based retailer Uniqlo has developed a fresh and innovative line of apparel called LifeWear designed to provide the best of both functionality with cutting edge fashion. To keep their brand modern and on trend Uniqlo has tapped fashion icon and former Editor-In-Chief of French Vogue Carine Roitfeld to design a collection of LifeWear for Fall/Winter 2015. Roitfield will be collaborating with Uniqlo’s design director Naoki Takizawa to launch a 40-piece collection designed for the modern woman.
The collection includes a leopard coat, tailored trousers, pencil skirts, solid and print blouses, intimates and accessories. Just add a great pump or heel and you are out the door.
The collaboration is based on quality, confidence, and innovation for the busy woman on the go. The entire collection is priced under $200 and designed to take women from the boardroom to cocktails while looking c’est chic.
“I feel joy at creating new mode expressions. I am constantly asking myself what these are, and creating new clothing within the UNIQLO LifeWear concept is a great challenge. I started from the idea of clothes that I would want to wear myself, and developed this into clothes that anyone would want to wear, a woman’s ideal of clothes that make her feel transformed when she wears them”. said Roitfeld.
This new collaboration at Uniqlo is an inspiration of a fresh innovative approach drawn from practical concepts and modern visuals. The artistry born from this designer collaboration brings a high caliber and wealth of experience from editor and designer Carine Roitfeld and design director Naoki Takizawa and results in functional clothing on the leading edge of modern fashion.
