For Fall 2016, Lela Rose played with texture and dimension to design a collection that had her signature sleek and feminine appeal. Infusing ladylike signature looks mixed with ample allure and artistic composition, Lela Rose proved she is a designer who can produce coveted looks from evening gowns to daywear separates with ease. She is prepared to adapt to change embracing the “See It, Buy It” new wave seen at NY Fashion Week by making three of her looks exclusively ready for purchase on her site following the runway show.

One thing that became evident from this season’s Lela Rose collection is that ball gowns are being replaced with evening separates. This idea was brilliantly executed in a geometric fil coupe shirtdress that was casual and versatile. The jewelry, composed of natural materials, and the clutches of modern wood and Lucite accented with pearls or metal amped up the style for that modern sophistication we have seen from her before.

Lela Rose worked her peplum dresses and evening separates in rich textural fabrics like leaf fil coupe and vine jacquard. Lela Rose Fall 2016 collection was not only a nod to the statement coats in luxe materials but it was also a warm welcome to the modern suiting angle.

From the boxy metallic brocade button down to the pink sheared mohair coat, Lela Rose FW16 collection was fluid and polished with clean lines. Cloche-sleeve top and matching pencil skirt in moss green added the right amount of glimmer on the runway. Many of the gowns had all over embroideries with patches of quills and a floral motif theme reigned throughout the collection.

Some terrific everyday sportswear was also seen on the runway and the most notable items were the brushed wool pants and a fawn cable pullover. The color palette included a touch of beige, green, indigo, mauve, metallic, oxblood and black. A diagonal black patterned organza gown that flowed down the catwalk looking like an optical illusion was a standout look in the Lela Rose fall 2016 collection.
