Calling all uptown girls.  Having a fashion dilemma choosing your Fashion Night Out 2010 itinerary? We have done some scoping and chosen our top picks for Friday, September 10th in NYC.  With just 23 days and counting it is time to choose a plan of attack.

Fashion Night Out:  Boutique style uptown

1.  Chanel:  It is D.I.Y night.  Customize your ballerina flats.  Choose from a selection of lambskin colors and linings and become the artist you always dreamed you could be. Chanel will also be selling their hottest new shades of nail polish.

2.  CH Carolina Herrera:  Join Carolina Herrera and Carolina Herrera Baez to celebrate the opening the CH Carolina Herrera Boutique located on Madison Avenue.  Have your caricature done and signed by Illustrator Robert Risko.

3.  Giorgio Armani: Meet actress Lauren Hutton in conversation with Joan Juliet Buck.

4.  Dolce & Gabbana:  Naomi Campbell will be on hand featuring a collection of limited edition t-shirts.  T-shirts can be signed from 6:30pm to 9:45pm.

5.  Calvin Klein Collection: Vogue’s Fashion Director, Tonne Goodman along with the creative team of Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli will make an appearance.  Browse the photography exhibit which will showcase influential American women, shot by Bryan Adams.

6.  Swarovski: Stop by the Madison Avenue location and hang with the stars. The roster includes Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield, Estelle, Nicole Scherzinger, to name a few.  The DJ will be spinning tunes all evening and Lightbody will reveal her secrets on transforming her celebrity clients’ style.

7.  Warren-Tricomi Salon at The Plaza Hotel:  Before being serenaded by Corinne Bailey Rae in the Palm Court enjoy a complimentary styling or updo. Take the time to view the CFDA Incubator Project and meet Joel Warren, Edward Tricomi, Douglas Hannant and Frederick Anderson from 9-11pm in the Terrace Room.

On Friday, September 10th Fashion Night Out will return for a second time with over 1,000 retailers participating and scores of events taking place globally.  Whether you are an uptown socialite or a downtown gal who loves your boho chic look there are more events than ever to pick from.  From 6pm to 10pm New York City will be filled with DJ’s, celebrities, booze and loads of deals and steals at your favorite places to shop.

Let’s break it down for you and help navigate your way to the perfect night of retail therapy at NYC’s finest department stores.

Fashion Night Out:  Department Store style

1.  Bergdorf Goodman:  Expect personal appearances from Tom Ford, Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Nicole Richie, Jason Wu, Thom Browne and Simon Spurr.  There will also be a “Face-Off” makeup artist competition. Judges include Catherine Malandrino, Trish McEvoy, Blogger Bryanboy, and Hamish Bowles.  Dog lovers prepared to be (bow) wowed by a canine runway show.  Bibhu Mohapatra, Georgina Chapman, James Mischka and Mark Badgley, Reem Acra, Lela Rose and Thakoon Panichgul will escort their pup down the runway.

2. Barneys New York: There will be a karaoke contest so channel your American Idol and be prepared to be judged by Proenza Schouler designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough and Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley. You will need to brush up on your ping-pong skills as you face off in a doubles tournament against fashion designer duos such as Rag & Bone’s David Neville and Marcus Wainwright and Shipley & Halmos’ Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos. Meet and greet with the girls behind the euphonious label, Rodarte.

3.  Sak’s Fifth Avenue: Donna Karan, Charlotte Ronson, Victor & Rolf and Zac Posen, as well as Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas are expected.  Watch the designers as they compete in a fashion sketch-off.  Shop, laugh and drink with your favorite designers and celebrities.

4.  Henri Bendel:  Visit the Frédéric Fekkai salon for a $75.00 complete makeover.  After being coiffed by NY’s finest and having your makeup applied get ready for your red carpet appearance.  Olivia Palermo from the The Hills on MTV will show you how to strike a pose wearing a Marchesa red-carpet gown accessorized with House of Lavande jewels.  Posting to twitter and facebook allowed.  From 7-9pm Bendel illustrator, Izak, signs one of a kind“green”totes for $100; proceeds go to charity. 8:30-10:30pm Model Erin Wasson presents her jewelry collection LOWLUV.

5.  Bloomingdale’s:  Tango the night away with spokesmodels Elettra and Arlenis.  Project Runway judge and Designer Michael Kors will be stopping by along with Designers Lela Rose and Carmen Marc Valvo.

Fashion Night Out 2010 will be taking place for a second season on September 10th from 6pm to 11pm ET.  The biggest fashion extravaganza will span the globe and be filled with “stylish surprises”.  In NYC, Vogue will stage the largest fashion show open to the public featuring over 200 models and seating for 1500 spectators.

In preparation Vogue’s own Hamish Bowles, European Editor at Large, and Lauren Santo Domingo, Contributing Editor, will be making an appearance on two episodes of the CW11′s Gossip Girl set to air on September 20th.  Gossip Girl will begin the Fall season in Paris.

On July 15th, Bowles was spotted filming with actress Kelly Rutherford.  The two were photographed in the Meatpacking District outside of Diane Von Furstenburg’s studio.  The episodes will highlight the planning of Fashion Night Out 2010.

CBS will also be airing a special on the making of FNO.  This hour long prime time special is scheduled for September 14th at 10pm EST.
