Designers go digital for NY Fashion Week: Live stream schedule

With the move uptown to Lincoln Center comes some added technology at NY Fashion Week this season. Check-in for shows is airport style with a bar coded invite. No more waiting on crowded lines for the PR team to check you off their list. GPS has collided with fashion and the benefits are numerous.

With social media being so prevalent to branding designers are tweeting and providing a way for you to “like” them or “join” them on Facebook. Some designers are also using their blogs, websites and Facebook as a means of live streaming their shows to the masses during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011.

If you were not able to score a press credential, just grab your new IPAD or any computer and watch as the designers bring you their collections live on the internet. Just click and enjoy your front row seat assignment.
