Nine West vs Sam Edelman

Cruising around some shoe sites I could not help but stop when I stumbled upon the new arrivals at Nine West.  In their “Glitter and Sparkle” trend they are selling a platform pump called GRASE which bears an uncanny resemblance to Sam Edelman’s LORISSA Stud Pump.  What do you think?  The shoe on top is from Nine West, the bottom shoe is from Sam Edelman. Copyright infringement or not?

Nine West Grase: $119.00 (Click here to purchase)

Sam Edelman Lorissa: $200.00 (Click here to purchase)

Not copyright infringement. Putting embellishments on the back of pumps isn’t something Sam Edelman invented or patented. Now if Nine West copied the spikes, yes.

NOT!  Both shoes are lovely and bare a slight resemblance but neither invented putting embellishments on shoes…
