It’s that time of year again!! It might be a sweltering 90+ degrees in New York City but that is no excuse to not jump on the band wagon and start your Fall/Winter 2016 shopping. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has begun their pre-access for all Nordstrom card holders. From July 14 through the 21 anyone with a Nordstrom charge card can begin stocking up on next season’s apparel, shoes, accessories and more. If you do not have a Nordstrom credit card do not fret. You can apply online or by phone right now and start your shopping upon approval. To apply simply click this link. Alternatively there is also the option to apply for a Nordstrom debit card which simply pulls the funds from your existing checking account upon purchase. If you prefer to wait the sale opens to the general public from July 22 ending on August 8 when the full prices will be in effect.
A word of advice…. Shop early as with these deep discounts on highly sought after brands will sell out early. It is only the first day and already some of the winter coats have sold out in both the small sizes and the plus sizes. Remember that Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns so there is nothing to be lost in buying the wrong size or changing your mind. No buyer’s remorse here!

Saddle bags are having a moment right now and will continue to be on trend this Fall and Winter. Also loving the custom monogram idea especially as a gift or just to be sure you never mix your bag up with someone else at the gym or in class. These are some of my favs right now.
MY TOP PICKS IN COATS:
When it comes to deciding upon a winter coat variety is key. Everyone needs a monochromatic coat preferably in black so it will basically match to almost everything in your closet and to your boots. Right now sleeveless coats are everything!! In wool they just complete an outfit. There are solid and print dusters so take a close look at your wardrobe before deciding upon a color. For the puffy everyday coat to wear on errands or a snowy day make sure to pick one that is slenderizing with flattened down filling. Here are a few that are pretty major!!
MY TOP PICKS IN BOOTIES:
I happen to be a huge fan of the bootie (Beyonce included). Booties are my year round go-to. Anyone who is into Boho-Chic knows what I mean. In the summer throw on a floral print dress and replace the expected sandals with a leather bootie. Extra points for studs!! In the Fall and Winter booties are great because they do not discriminate. They can be worn with tights when wearing a dress or skirt and they can be worn with pants so double bang for your buck. Switch it up with leather and suede to provide that little subtle pop of color. These are on my bucket list right now.
