Karl Lagerfeld is an iconic figure in the fashion world. This Fashion designer, photographer, artist and publisher is bringing his creative genius to Macy’s designing a capsule collection to be sold exclusively in the Impulse department. Beginning on August 31st, 2011 this line will be sold in approximately 235 Macy’s stores and online at Macys.com.
The Impulse collection will have the signature Lagerfeld stamp on it; rich fabrics and chic silhouettes will create a modern and sleek look. The price of the collection will range from $50 to $170 and will include dresses, tops, jackets, leggings and more.
“To me Macy’s is the perfect department store in the United States where everybody can find what they’re looking for without ruining their budget,” said Karl Lagerfeld. “That’s why I am happy to make this limited collection just for Macy’s.”
Karl Lagerfeld is the designer behind the Italian fashion houses of Fendi and Chanel. His previous collaboration was with swedish mega-retailer H&M in 2004. Lagerfeld has occasionally worked as a costume designer for theatrical productions and photographed editorials for Harper’s Bazaar and Numero Magazine.

Vogue published a sneak peek in their magazine of a floral dress which will retail for $109. Macy’s also released some preliminary sketches.
